♥ Annual Walk-a-Thon Our annual walk-a-thon is both a fun event for participants and a great way to provide critical financial support for FASCA’s important work in the community. At the conclusion of each walk-a-thon, a selection of prizes and gifts are distributed to our in-person walkers and patrons. ♥ Annual Rev. Lawrence A. Davies and Janice P. Davies Banquet This annual banquet pays tribute to our organization’s founders and celebrates our current sickle cell warriors. It is an evening of community connection, combining dinner and entertainment. At the banquet, special awards are presented to our community partners and special volunteers. ♥ Health Fairs For education and increased awareness of sickle cell disease in our community, FASCA participates in health fairs in various locations throughout the year. If you would like FASCA to participate in a health fair event, please email pertinent details to fasca3275@gmail.com.

♥ On Friday, September 11, 2026, the Fredericksburg Area Sickle Cell Association will hold a zumba-thon from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ron Rosner YMCA, 5700 Smith Station Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22407. ♥ On Saturday, September 12, 2026, the Fredericksburg Area Sickle Cell Association will hold its annual walk-a-thon from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Ron Rosner YMCA, 5700 Smith Station Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22407. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. at the YMCA. Registration is $20.00. Children under 12 are free.
